What is Pilates?
Pilates uses slow, controlled and fluid movements to primarily strengthen the ‘core’ muscles responsible for stabilising and supporting the spine, promoting better alignment and correcting postural issues.
The deep stabilising muscles are most effectively engaged when the spine is in a neutral position, which is essential for protecting the discs, joints and ligaments.
This rehabilitation programme is designed to optimise the body's load-bearing mechanics, activate the right muscles and address muscle imbalances to enhance overall movement and stability.
We offer various types of pilates classes
